如果要询问对方正在做某事、或是问对方在做什么，我们要采用现在进行时的疑问形式。根据现在进行时的结构特点，其一般疑问句采用如下表达方式：
Is she doing her homework? 她正在做作业吗？
Are you listening to music? 你（你们）在听音乐吗？
Are they playing computer games? 他们在玩电脑游戏吗？
其回答方式也与含有动词be的疑问句式回答一样，如下表所示：

Is she cleaning the house? | Yes,she is. No,she isn't. |
Are you getting ready for Spring Festival? | Yes,I am/we are. No,I'm not/we aren't. |
Are they sweeping the floor? | Yes,they are. No,they aren't. |

如果要问对方在做什么，我们可以这样说：
What are you doing? 你（们）在做什么？
问他人在做什么：
What are they doing? 他们在做什么？
What is he doing? 他在做什么？
