1.序数词表示事物的先后顺序，往往与定冠词 the 连用。
2.序数词的表达方法：
①第一至第三分别是 first， second， third。
②第四至第十九需要在对应的基数词后面加-th，其中比较特殊的有 fifth（第五）、 eighth（第八）、 ninth（第九）、 twelfth（第十二）。
③第二十至第九十各整十位数的序数词是将其相应基数词词尾-ty 变为-tieth。例如： twenty—twentieth（第二十）， thirty—thirtieth（第三十）。
④其他的序数词是把对应的基数词的个位数变为序数词，而十位数不变。例如：第二十六为 twenty-sixth。
【口诀巧记忆】
基变序，有规律，尾部要加-th。
一、二、三，特殊记，结尾字母 t、d、d；
(one—first；two—second； three—third)
八少 t，九去 e，ve 要用 f 替；
(eight—eighth， nine—ninth， five—fifth， twelve—twelfth)
整十基数变序数，ty 变为 tie；
(twenty—twentieth， thirty—thirtieth）
若是碰上几十几，只变个位就可以。
