1.another 表示“另外一个、再一……”，是泛指而不是特指，指同类中的任何一个。常用来指至少三个中的一个，也可指在原有基础上再累加一个。
如：I don't like this one. Please show me another.
我不喜欢这个，请给我另一个看看。
Would you like another cup of tea?
你要再来一杯茶吗？
2.the other 意为“另一个”，是特指，往往指两个人或物中的另一个。常用于one…the other… 结构中。如：
This book is mine and the other is Adrian's.
这本书是我的，另一本是阿德里安的。
I have two aunts; one lives in Tokyo and the other in Osaka.
我有两个姑妈；一个住在东京，另一个住在大阪。
3.the others 是 the other 的复数形式，指代其余的或剩下的人或事物，为代词。
如：
There are five pencils on the table. Two are mine,and the others are Dick's.
桌上有五支铅笔。两支是我的，其余的是迪克的。
I went swimming while the others played tennis.
我去游泳了，而其余的人都打网球去了。
4.other 意为“其他的；另外的；别的”，后面一般接可数名词复数，表示泛指。
如：China is larger than any other countries in Asia.
在亚洲，中国比任何其他国家都大。
5.others 泛指其他的、另外的或别的人或事物。常用于 some…others… 结构中。
如：Some people came by car,and others came on foot.
有些人是坐汽车来的，其他人是走着来的。
I don't like this dress. Show me some others.
我不喜欢这件衣服，另外拿几件给我看看。
用another，other ，the other，the others，others填空。
